Supply Chain Management is a dynamic field where theory and practice often differ. Industrial visits give students a chance to witness firsthand how supply chains function in real-world scenarios, facing challenges and overcoming obstacles.
Yakult Factory
The members of the Supply Chain Management Cell at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College had the opportunity to visit the Yakult Danone Plant located in Sonipat, Haryana. This plant is a joint venture between Yakult Honsha, Japan, and Group Danone, France, both of which are global probiotic leaders. The industrial visit to Yakult was an eye-opening experience for the students, providing them with a practical understanding of the concepts they have learned in the classroom and encouraging them to pursue careers in the food industry.
Mother Dairy
The SCM team visited the Mother Dairy plant located in Patparganj, New Delhi. The team consisted of fifty five students and was accompanied by four teachers. The team was totally fascinated to know the technicalities behind a simple flavor of ice cream. They were then educated about the workings of the plant through an interactive session and the display of related videos. They were next taken around the premises to examine the functioning of the various components of the plant. Overall, it was a wholesome experience for all the students to get real-life exposure to giant plants.
Coca Cola
The Supply Chain Management Cell of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College organized an industrial visit to the Coca-Cola Happiness Factory in Greater Noida on November 4, 2022. The educational tour was carefully planned and curated for the members of the cell. The visit started on the college campus, with everyone excited to learn and have fun. It was an informative, knowledgeable, and interactive visit that helped us gain practical knowledge and skills for future growth and success.
Biba Factory
On the third day of the Annual festival, Anukram, there was an industrial visit to the BIBA company in Gurugram. The team, accompanied by the winner of the case study competition, had a great learning experience. They were able to interact with the workers, supervisors, and different heads of the company, gaining valuable insights into the functioning of the supply chain of the unit. The students experienced a unique blend of fun and knowledge as they learned beyond the walls of the classroom.
